We’re back!

Yes, that’s right. NoisemakersUnited.com is back!

It’s been a long time coming, and I’m so glad it’s here. Let me explain my prolonged absence…

See, things have been pretty crazy around here for the past few months. Praying, asking God what the next step is. Running into dead ends, and hitting my head into them pretty hard along the way. But then something very wonderful happened…

Desi and I both got great jobs. A HUGE answer to prayer. And so a new journey begins.

Desi is working as a nanny for a family in Dallas, GA. I haven’t had the chance to meet them yet, but you should hear the stories Desi comes with! They’re some really funny people.

And I got a job as the Technical Director at Crossroads. I’m so excited about starting this new position and getting to use technology(which I love) to help people connect with God. I’m actually starting tomorrow, which is why I’m writing this post today.

So I wanted to tell you a little of what you’ll find here on the new NoisemakersUnited, besides a rad new look.

First, you’ll see the “Resources” tab in the menu bar. That is a page that I hope you will find very useful. There, I’ll be putting up a lot of info on how we do things at Crossroads, from our tech set up(audio, video, and lighting), our technical processes, and other things. So that’s one new thing.

Another change is the subscription feed. I have decided to remove the email subscriptions. There main reason for this, it takes  a bit of work to keep it up, and it wasn’t being used much.  Maybe it was the site I was using, but it just wasn’t working out well for me. So now, if you want a feed, you’ll have to do with RSS, which everyone uses anyways. Email subscriptions are so 2009.

Another great feature of the website is the “Featured” box at the top of the Home page. This is where a list of what I deem are the top 5, most important posts is found. It’s really just a cool feature that I hope will help you find the most useful information. There are a couple things that will constantly be in the featured section. First, is the latest “Sunday Set List”. Next we have a new post series called “Project X”, you’ll learn more about that later. I will also be doing a post on all of our set designs, so the latest post on that will be in there. Other than that it will be the most popular blog posts of all time from NoisemakersUnited.

So that’s really it. You’ll still find a lot of the same old stuff when it comes to the posts themselves. It will still be a mix of my life, my journey, and Crossroads Church. I really hope you enjoy the new layout, and please feel free to comment with any ideas you have on what’s good and bad, helpful and not. Thanks for coming back after such a long time away.
