You should try out Waze. It's kind of the anti-Mapquest, in that the local search is really weak but the directions are fantastic and improving.
Example of bad local search: I search for an address (number plus streetname) and it finds my results, but also results on the other side of the country, and it doesn't have the smarts to figure out that I'm looking for the one that's 5 miles away instead of 1000.

Example of good directions: If it gives you directions that aren't the fastest/best route, just take the shorter route. Waze will observe that you took a better path, and learn from your driving. Any waze user that does this will improve the routing for all users.

It's free, has voice-guided turn-by-turn directions, and employs a really fun interface.

Have a great Thursday!

If I remember correctly, they're 18" apart. And each section was 3' in length.

We tried that first, but it was just really difficult to get the spacing between the PVC where we wanted it and to try to keep it constant. At least we weren't able to make it happen. Using the chain with nuts and bolts was easier, but definitely ate up a TON of time.

I love it,

Would steel cable work instead of chain? Should be cheaper.

Thanks for posting it!

I would also love to get the details on how much you pay your musicians and worship leaders. Could you please send that to me in an email?

BTW, great site!

Thanks!

This couldn't be more true. Often the loud music can distract peoples mind from whom they are actually worshipping, OUR LORD & SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. Something that happened to me awhile back, I went into service just overwhelmed with what was happening in my life that that is all I could think about. Out of blue this still small voice spoke to me and said, "This is all about me, it's not about you!!!" You know that was an humbling experience. I believe, too often, that we worry so much about things around us that we miss out on the real blessings of God. By the way, I had a wonderful time in that service after I took ME out of it and made it about God.

I would love like to see Christians to take our singing and playing craft more seriously. We seem to have fallen in to a rut of "campfire music / singing" and though there is nothing wrong with that (for people 16 and under) this seems to keep getting spoon-fed to the church as "great modern worship." Paul said when I was a child I spoke as a child I reasoned as a child etc. but when I became older, I put away childish things." I wish we could do that. Also: David played skillfully before the Lord. Old testament singers & musicians were hand picked by by their talents first and then weeded out by their dedication to God (because they had so many people "trying out" that were skillful, they could afford to do that). Nowadays what we do is we pull in anyone "who's heart is right" and leave out the talent part altogether. Paul said to run the race for the victor's crown. The bible instructs us to study to show ourselves approved. Yes of course it means to study scripture but also to strive for excellence in all we do. I'm not in any way trying to eclipse the holy consecration of one's self unto our creator in an abject posture of total surrender and holy communion unto our Lord, but I would so love to see the church take God seriously as though they are playing before a King, rather than it be "just good enough."
